Bob Hoehn is a member of Beatty & Wozniak’s Mineral Title Examination & Due Diligence Practice Group, bringing over four decades of experience to the table. His practice focuses on mineral and surface title examination, curative work, acquisition due diligence, and a wide range of transactional and administrative matters critical to energy development in the Rocky Mountain West.
Bob advises clients on real property and mineral title issues across federal, state, and fee lands, and routinely helps resolve complex curative challenges involving defunct entities, missing interests, and unclear chains of title. His work spans interactions with the Bureau of Land Management, Minerals Management Service, state land boards and state commissions such as the Colorado Energy & Carbon Management Commission. He also provides counsel on general corporate matters, including entity formation, operations, and contract drafting.
Before joining Beatty & Wozniak in 2013, Bob served as a partner at several Denver-area law firms, including Rothgerber Johnson & Lyons LLP (now Womble Bond Dickinson), Clanahan Tanner Downing & Knowlton, P.C, and Corporon Hoehn Svitavsky Eyler & Hill, P.C. Earlier in his career, he worked as a landman and title examiner — experience that enables him to provide legal advice based on real-world understanding of energy operations and land systems.
A respected voice in the oil and gas legal community, Bob has authored and presented extensively on title law, landman practices, and curing title defects. His work has been recognized in numerous industry publications and professional rankings.
Outside the office, Bob enjoys traveling with his family. He is a student of history (his major at Colorado State University), a Phi Alpha Theta honoree, and has lived in Colorado since 1972. In addition, Bob has coached youth basketball for nearly 35 years and is currently the head coach of the freshman boys’ basketball team at a local high school.
